What work/project are you in charge of?
I work on developing platforms and services for next generation of connected vehicles.
What is your specialized field?
My background is in wireless communications and signal processing. I have branched out in several different areas, however, and am more of a systems-level Engineer now.
What is a typical business day like for you?
Since I work on the overall platform, I spend the day working with members from various groups within ITC to define what the connected vehicle experience could be. This might include creating wireframes that describe how a user might interact with our services, or creating system requirements specifications for developers.
Why do you like working at ITC?
ITC fosters an open and flexible workspace where we are encouraged to push the envelope and work on areas that would improve the driving experience. Also, we get to test our stuff in cars, which is great.
What is unique about your role?
I consider myself lucky; I get to work with all the groups within ITC and figure out how all of these various research topics can be packaged into a single solution.
What cool projects have you worked on at ITC?
My two personal favorites are the car-car communications to support safety applications and developing a framework to bring your favorite apps into the vehicle.
What are the important things in your life?
To always enjoy and believe in what you do.
What are you enthusiastic about in your private life?
I enjoy spending time with my family. We have two little girls who keep us busy. I also love getting on my bicycle and exploring the beautiful Bay Area.
