Biography:

2015–present
Engaged in research and development on anomaly/change detection using factory manufacturing data, predicting a route to a destination using location and driving data, behavior prediction using images of occupants, materials informatics, and other areas.
Since 2017, I have been a Phd candidate at The University of Tokyo, conducting research on machine learning and data mining (anomaly/change detection).

2010–2014
Conducted research, development, consulting and business planning associated with machine learning, data mining and services and platforms for analyzing big data for a wide range of industries including manufacturing, finance, Web and medicine, at an electronics manufacturer and a think tank.
2006–2009
Engaged in research and development on financial engineering at a think tank (derivative pricing model and risk measurement model).
2000–2006
Majored in physics and applied mathematics (non-linear dynamical systems, chaos theory and numerical computations) as an undergraduate and graduate student at The University of Tokyo.

Mathematical sciences and computers have been the core domains to me ever since I was a student. Recently, I have been conducting research and development on machine learning, data mining and AI. I try to appreciate on-premise issues and the characteristics of the data, bearing in mind that the solutions will be used in real society, not restricted to theories and algorithms.
